BOAT HISTORY: We located this clean, freshwater, low-hour, all-original 1991 Classic Boston Whaler Sport GLS 15 in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, and acquired her from the second owner. The original owner also resided in Wolfeboro and purchased her new from Shep Brown's Boat Basin (now Goodhue) in Meredith, New Hampshire. Both owners used her exclusively on Lake Winnipesaukee. She was never kept in the water overnight and was always trailered and stored indoors when not in use.

BOAT CONDITION: This Sport GLS 15 remains in very nice original condition, with interior upholstery that presents like new. All chrome and stainless-steel fittings and hardware are in excellent condition, with no rust, corrosion, or pitting. The original interior and exterior gelcoat are remarkably well-preserved, without the crazing commonly found on older Boston Whalers. She has never been kept in the water and has never had bottom paint.

MODEL HISTORY: The Sport GLS 15 was the last of the interior designs offered on Boston Whaler's classic 15-foot hull, replacing the Sport 15, which was discontinued by 1991. The GLS featured a molded side console and synthetic thwart seats, similar to the traditional Sport configuration but without wood.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT: The 1991 Sport GLS 15 came standard with a fiberglass-molded bow locker cover, bow eye with lifting eye, bow chock, bow Norman tie-up pin, fiberglass seats, console with side storage box, mechanical steering with stainless-steel wheel, stainless-steel low-profile side rails, heavy-duty rub rail, navigation lights with switch and fuse, and a pair of ski/lifting eyes.

EXTRA OPTIONS: This 1991 Sport GLS 15 was optioned from the factory with the optional full stainless-steel bow railing and the very rare (and expensive) full interior cushion set, including bow cushion, forward and rear thwart seat cushions, forward thwart seat backrest cushion, and fold-down rear thwart seat backrest cushion assembly. Additional upgrades include a mounted bilge pump, 12-gallon fuel tank, and full custom canvas cover.

PROPULSION: She is equipped with her original 1991 Johnson 2-cylinder 50-hp outboard motor with variable-rate oil injection, hydraulic power trim/tilt, and electric start/choke. A full OMC gauge package is also installed, including tachometer, trim gauge, and ignition key switch with safety lanyard. The Johnson 50-hp motor has recently been serviced and runs like new.

TRAILER: She is fitted to a 2020 EZ Loader galvanized trailer in like-new condition.

TDC COMMENTS: This rare Classic Boston Whaler Sport GLS 15 features many highly desirable factory options, including the stainless-steel bow railing, low-profile stainless-steel side railings with OEM backrest, and full OEM cushion package. Together, these features provide a comfortable ride and excellent use of the available interior space.

Finding an original, unmodified Sport GLS 15 without bottom paint and in such excellent condition is very difficult. The classic 15-foot Sport hull offers additional interior space over smaller models, along with a fine, deep-V entry that provides a comfortable ride through chop and waves.
