Client Testimonial

We love hearing from clients! Here are some kind words from the proud owners of project 40, a sweet 1973 16’ Katama that now lives on Cape Cod:

“We are so thrilled to have a restored whaler from TDC. Tom’s craftsmanship, attention to detail and caring are unmatched, and the boat is just incredible. Tom was so great to work with throughout the entire process, from planning to restoration to delivery. We couldn’t be happier!!!”

The unsinkable Boston Whaler!

Photo credit to John Hanson at Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors for this classic photo of the unsinkable Boston Whaler in Rockland, Maine! Note our always-enthusiastic client, Andy Correa, front and center. This makes us think of summer on the coast of Maine. Happy boating!

Use your boat!

We love seeing our clients on the water. Andy Correa loves the snot out of his boat and we always enjoy catching up with him. Last summer (2021), Andy raced his 1986 15’ Super Sport (Project 24) in the Harpswell Lobster Boat Races. He won, but cracked a seat in the process (happy to help if you need a new one, Andy!).

Thank you to Andy for sharing these photos; Jon Johansen gets credit for the racing photo and also for all of the great work he does with the Maine Lobster Boat Races.

Andy also makes beautiful nautical jewelry - check out his website : https://www.agacorrea.com/

Spring has sprung

Yes, things have been a bit awry with Covid-19, but we are trying our best to stay positive and keep moving forward. Like clockwork, we have been getting calls about boats and have a few special projects in the works. Here are two of the half dozen projects that we are working on now. Between the fire engine red Mischief and the retro 6-cyl Merc on the Nauset, we just can’t contain ourselves. Don’t they just make you smile?

What it's all about

Here is a shot from our Falmouth client (thank you again!) of their son helming his 1985 Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport. The photo was taken from our client’s Boston Whaler 18’ Outrage.

This makes us smile.

Sunny days ahead....

Amidst the Covid-19 crisis, we can’t help but think of sunny days ahead. For us (and probably you), that includes boats and water. Here is a photo from a happy client of his Boston Whaler fleet docked in Falmouth Foreside. Thank you to them for sharing this photo! We love seeing our boats on the water.

What it's all about

We instantly smiled when we saw this picture online (ok…Facebook). This is our very happy client and handsome crew enjoying their 1967 16’ Nauset on the Eggemoggin Reach in Maine. It doesn’t get much better than this!

Thank you to this client for sharing this photo with us. We just love your boat.

What we do.

Other than, "how much will a 19xx....Boston Whaler" cost me?", we are most often asked, "what exactly do you do?"

Well, Project 16, a 1986 13' Super Sport, is a very good example.  This is why we do what we do.  This boat was found sitting behind a house in Buffalo, New York.  It was a dusty, gritty shell that was basically behind used for storage.  No systems and no interior.  We brought this back to our shop and installed a complete interior/systems package true to the original specifications of the 13' Super Sport.  The trailer received a thorough tune up and the hull was completely detailed including some minor gel coat repairs.  As a result of the ability to recognize this diamond in the rough and invest quite a bit of TLC, this boat now has a loving and active home on the coast of Maine.  How many other boats do you think are out there like this one?
