1985 13' Super Sport (4)

PROJECT 72

BOAT HISTORY: We located this clean, all-original, Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Super Sport in northern New Jersey from her second owner. She was used sparingly on Greenwood Lake by the original owner until 2019. The second owner used her only a handful of times and has been stored inside since 2019. She has not been modified in any way, retains all her original components, has never spent a night in the water, and is in excellent original condition.

MODEL HISTORY: The Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Super Sport was introduced in 1984 and remained in production until 1994. Among the 13’ Classic Boston Whaler hulls, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned model available from Boston Whaler with a mahogany interior.

STANDARD OPTIONS: Super Sports feature a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest and molded storage compartment as standard equipment.

EXTRA OPTIONS: This Classic Boston Whaler Super Sport is also optioned with a black, custom Sunbrella canvas boat cover, Perko bow light assembly with SS pole stern light package, custom thwart seat and backrest cushion package, tan Boston Whaler battery box and Kevlok battery strap.

BOAT CONDITION: The mahogany and gelcoat on this Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Super Sport are factory original and in excellent condition. The hull is light and dry and has never seen bottom paint. There are no added screw holes anywhere in the interior or exterior and the transom has never had a transducer mounted. The brass drain tubes are in excellent condition.

PROPULSION: She is equipped with a 1992 Mariner 25 horsepower twin cylinder electric start, electric choke outboard. The Mariner is lightweight - weighing only 112 lbs. This outboard has excellent, even compression across both cylinders and has been fully serviced.

TRAILER: She is fitted to a new 2022 Yacht Club welded steel trailer that has never been launched.

TDC MARINE COMMENTS: This is a fine example of a highly desirable, difficult to locate and beautiful Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Super Sport in amazing original condition.

As always, these boats go fast; contact TDC Marine for inquiries about this project, or another Classic Boston Whaler model.

1988 15' Super Sport

PROJECT 76

MODEL HISTORY:  The Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1985 and remained in production until 1994. In 1989, the Classic Boston Whaler Super Sport was the most highly optioned 15’ model available from Boston Whaler with a mahogany interior.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT:  Classic Boston Whaler Super Sports received a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest with molded storage compartment, and bow and stern navigation lights as standard equipment.

EXTRA OPTIONS: This Classic Boston Whaler Super Sport was optioned with a custom Sunbrella bimini top, aft thwart seat cushion, Noco on board battery charger, Lowrance fish finder, Ritchie flush mount compass, custom under seat 12-gallon fuel tank, and Yamaha fuel/water separator.

PROPULSION: She is equipped with her original low hour, highly desirable 1989 3-cylinder Yamaha 70hp Precision-Blend oil injection 2-stroke outboard with hydraulic power trim/tilt, black stainless-steel propeller, electric start/choke, Yamaha multi-function tachometer, Yamaha Speedometer, and Yamaha temperature gauge. The motor has even 120 psi compression across all 3 cylinders. The 70hp Yamaha offers the best power/weight ratio of all available outboards for the 15’ hull and has a reputation as one on Yamaha’s best outboards ever produced. The Yamaha has been fully serviced and is excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with original paint.

TRAILER: Rounding out the package is a 2010 Valu-Line galvanized bunk with keel roller trailer in like new condition.

TDC COMMENTS: The Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport is one of the most in-demand Boston Whaler models, and difficult to locate in such original condition; we often sell these before they get listed.

1976 19' Revenge

PROJECT 53

We are quite excited to have located an all-original, two-owner, freshwater 1976 Classic Boston Whaler Revenge 19 O/B. We love the look and ride of these classic Revenge 19s. Used by a western New York owner on Lake Erie for salmon fishing and a New Hampshire owner on Lake Winnipesaukee, this Revenge has been extremely well-maintained. This boat has been newly repowered with a new 2023 Suzuki 140hp (DF140B) outboard. The Revenge 19 was introduced by Boston Whaler in 1973 and produced through the 1979 model year. She was always trailered inside when not in use and was not registered from 1992-2023 (in barn storage for 31 years!).

The Revenge 19 is designed for all facets of water activity. Its stability makes it ideal for diving as well as fishing. Its performance makes it excellent for pulling skiers or carrying a large number of passengers. The large, functional cockpit offers safe, unobstructed movement, protected by a tinted, tempered walk-through windshield and molded stern seat. With the optional canvas system, the boat is weather-tight. Forward, the bow deck with a well-designed bow rail and non-skid surface serves as a lounging and casting platform.

Below is ample storage area and space, which can also be converted to a sleeping space with the cushion set. The stern fish well keeps the catch fresh or beverages cold. Under the bow deck is another molded-in storage locker that drains directly through the hull; it's great for dry storage or iced beverages. Standard Revenge 19 O/B features include red rubrail insert, two swivel seats, anodized aluminum windshield with tinted safety glass, stainless steel bow rail and side grab bars, mechanical steering system, 40-gallon internal fuel tank, 8” stern cleats, bow chock, bow bitt, bow and stern navigation lights wired to fused switch panel, under-deck cushion set with platform filler, stainless steel ski eyes with lifting eyes and bow eye, stainless steel companion seat grab rail, rod racks, dome light, and fire extinguisher.

Optional OEM equipment on this Revenge includes a canvas mooring cover and Ritchie Navigator compass. Originally powered by a 1976 Mercury 175hp V-6 Black Max, she has been repowered this year with a new 2023 Suzuki DF140B outboard with 5-year factory warranty. The Suzuki DF140B motor is the perfect addition to this classic Revenge offering modern and quiet fuel injected 4-stroke power. The repower included a new Suzuki side mount control box w/key switch, control cables, wiring harness, fuel/water filter, aluminum propeller, tachometer, speedometer, and volt mater. Additional work performed during repower included new Seastar Teleflex rotary helm w/cable, custom mahogany gunnel boards, bilge pump & hose, upgraded helm electrical switches and Hummingbird HDR 650 in-dash digital depth sounder.

Included is the original Gator heavy-duty dual axle trailer with 7 keel rollers, and hydraulic surge brakes. The Gator rounds out this original package perfectly. The trailer has been completely gone through with all bearings repacked, added bearing buddies, brakes serviced, new tires, and lights tested. We are excited to offer this versatile Revenge 19 with brand new power in excellent condition as she turns heads everywhere she goes and will provide decades of great enjoyment to the future owner.

We just love the look, style and ride of these Classic Boston Whaler Revenge 19s!

1964 16' Nauset (2)

PROJECT 62

This all-original Classic Boston Whaler 1964 Nauset was located in Eugene, Oregon from the second owner. She was originally purchased in Minnesota and sold to the second owner in 1984. She was used exclusively on Minnesota lakes from 1964-2002. In 2002, the second owner moved her to Eugene, Oregon and placed her in indoor storage where she remained until we acquired her. She has been stored inside under cover for her entire life, hasn’t been used since 2002, and she has never seen saltwater. She has not been modified in anyway and retains all her original components.

The Classic Boston Whaler Nauset model was introduced in 1960 and began the center console revolution in the boating industry. Prior to the Boston Whaler 16’ center consoles (Nauset, Sakonnet, Eastport), the center console design did not exist in the boating industry. Nauset interiors came standard with a mahogany fixed pilot seat, mahogany center console with windshield and mahogany bow locker cover.

Other original standard features include stainless steel side railings, Perko bow light, Kainer stainless steel pole stern light, Acco rotary helm, Nautalloy steering wheel and a Morse MT-2 engine control. This Nauset is factory optioned with the forward stainless steel bow railing, Airguide speedometer and Ritchie Explorer Model 15 compass.

This Nauset is equipped with a low hour 1981 Johnson 3-cylinder 70hp outboard with hydraulic power trim/tilt and electric start/choke. The motor has 120 psi compression across all 3 cylinders. The inline 3-cylinders have a reputation as one of OMC’s best outboards ever produced with excellent power/weight ratio. The Johnson has been fully serviced and is excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with zero rust/corrosion and retains glossy original paint.

Rounding out the package is the original Gator trailer in excellent condition with new tires, wheels, bearings, and bearing buddies.

All original, freshwater Nauset models which retain all their original features and have not been modified or abused are extremely difficult to come by. This Nauset draws significant attention, and we know she will make her next family quite happy.

1968 16' Sakonnet

PROJECT 74

BOAT HISTORY: This all-original 1968 Classic Boston Whaler Sakonnet was acquired from the family of the original owner in central Massachusetts. She has been stored inside under cover for her entire life and hasn’t been registered or used since 1993. The Classic Boston Whaler Sakonnet was used exclusively on New Hampshire lakes near Conway for two weeks a summer during family vacations. She has never seen saltwater and was always trailered.

MODEL HISTORY: The Classic Boston Whaler 16’ hull was introduced in 1960 and began the center console revolution in the boating industry. Prior to this, the center console design did not exist. According to the Boston Whaler catalog, the Classic Boston Whaler Sakonnet (produced 1962-1975) was "a luxuriously practical sport fishing vehicle.” The ultra-popular Classic Boston Whaler Sakonnet model outlived its two sisters, the Classic Boston Whaler Nauset and the Classic Boston Whaler Eastport, by two model years.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT: For a $1,070 premium over the bare hull, the customer received bow and stern lights, a mahogany reversible pilot seat with cabinets, bow casting platform, center console and windshield, mechanical steering, Morse MT-2 single lever engine control, stainless bow rails, stern light and bow light/chock.

PROPULSION: She was repowered in 1980 with a Mercury 4-cylinder 80hp outboard with power trim/tilt, and electric start/choke. Our current intention is to remove the 1980 Mercury even though she is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition and repower with a late model Evinrude E-TEC or Yamaha outboard.

TRAILER: She sits on a Shoreline heavy duty galvanized trailer in excellent condition with no rust or corrosion.

BOAT CONDITION: This particular 1968 Sakonnet is an excellent example of an all-original Classic Boston Whaler that hasn’t been modified or abused. She has never been in salt water, has been well cared for, and lovingly maintained.

TDC COMMENTS: All original, freshwater Classic Boston Whaler Sakonnet models that have not been modified or abused are quite difficult to come by. This gorgeous girl draws significant attention, and we know she will make someone very happy.

1979 17' Montauk (2)

PROJECT 73

(photos posting soon)

BOAT HISTORY: We located this two-owner, freshwater, all-original Classic Boston Whaler Montauk near Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was purchased factory-new from a BW dealer near Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was used exclusively on Lake Michigan by the first owner and Lake Erie by the second owner. She has never seen saltwater or spent a night in the water. She has always been stored inside on her original Holsclaw trailer. She has been unused in storage for the past 18 years.

MODEL HISTORY: The Classic Boston Whaler Montauk is perhaps the most recognizable and iconic model that Boston Whaler has ever produced. The highly desirable 17' hull, paired with a center console, provides a platform ideal for inshore or offshore fishing while affording ample interior room to cruise with the family or for watersports.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT: The Classic Boston Whaler Montauk came equipped standard with 10" stainless steel side railings, full bow railing, reversible pilot seat with bottom cushion, Perko combination bow light/chock assembly, Ritchie Navigator, stainless steel pole stern light, and Schmitt stainless-steel steering wheel.

EXTRA OPTIONS: This Classic Boston Whaler Montauk was optioned through Boston Whaler with a 72qt Igloo cooler with seat cushion forward of the console.

PROPULSION: She is equipped with a 1996 Evinrude V4 88hp outboard equipped with power trim/tilt, electric start/choke, tachometer, trim/tilt gauge, and battery voltmeter. The motor has less than 100 hours since new and 120 psi compression across all 4 cylinders. The OMC V-4 motors are known for their reliability and are highly desirable for the classic 17’ hull due to their very high power/weight ratio. The V-4s have a reputation as one of OMC’s best outboards ever produced. The Evinrude has been fully serviced and is excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with zero rust/corrosion and still has the glossy original paint.

TRAILER: The original Holsclaw heavy duty trailer is in excellent condition.

BOAT CONDITION: This Classic Boston Whaler Montauk is a rare find in such amazing condition. Her gelcoat shines just as on the day that she left the factory. The “green line” (check out our blog entry on this) at the seam of the hull and deck joint is perfect with zero separation. This Montauk is pretty much perfect, turnkey, and ready to be enjoyed today.
